Why hello there!

Another month is in the books, and it’s a finally starting to feel like summer here at Legion HQ.

Most importantly, that means daily tanning sessions on the roof, natch. (Seriously—this should be a thing in all companies IMO.)

In addition to that, we’ve been doing a bit of work here and there—sorry, I mean hustling and grinding, as the cool kids are saying these days—on all kinds of fun stuffs.

Here’s the dope …

The protein bars are going to be perty.

Here’s the first concept:

There are quite a few tweaks I want to make before abandoning it (“Art is never finished, only abandoned.” – Leonardo da Vinci), but what do you think?

My new book is coming out this summer!

In case you missed it when I spilled the beans on this project last month, I have a new book coming called The Little Black Book of Workout Motivation.

I’m super excited about this little guy because it’s something thousands of people have been asking me for: my personal, practical blueprint for radical transformation, inside and outside the gym.

The long story short is If you want to learn how to develop relentless and unshakeable motivation, energy, and drive inside and outside of the gym, then this book is going to be for you.

(And if you don’t, hell, there’s probably still something in it for you too.)

I don’t have a final release date yet, but it’s looking like late June or early July. More on this soon.

Our lean bulking study is about to begin.

How many calories should you eat to gain as much muscle and as little fat as possible?

A question that us humans have been pondering since the earliest times, when our ancient ancestors had to deadlift and press brontosaurus bones to get swole.

Some people say you should just eat and drink everything in sight and worry about dieting the fat away later. GOMAD, anyone?

Others say you should keep your surplus as small as possible to make slow and steady “lean gains” for months on end. Sounds reasonable I guess?

Others still say calories don’t matter and all you have to do is focus on protein intake and nitrogen balance. These people are stupid.

Well, my team and I are throwing our beautiful hat in the ring…like, really, such a beautiful hat…the most beautiful, I know it, you know it, everybody knows it…by funding a study that will lend some insight.

Well, that study has officially passed the ethics board and will be underway soon!

Human guinea pigs will be recruited, barbells will be lifted, measurements will be recorded, and the wonders of science will help us better understand how to get bigger (but not fatter) biceps.

We’re donating a portion of profits to charity.

FUN FACT:

In the past 25 years, more people have escaped from poverty than any other time in human history.

Capitalism is the cat’s meow, ain’t it?

NOT-SO-FUN FACT:

There are still 815 million people in the world who don’t have enough to eat.

And a lot of them are kids.

Feels bad, man. 🙁

I want to do something to help, and that’s why I’m going to donate a portion of Legion’s profits to Children Incorporated.

They’re a nonprofit organization that partners with local schools, orphanages, homes, and childcare centers to provide help to each child on an individual basis.

In their words, “Their on-site volunteer coordinators at each of their project sites work to ensure that every child enrolled in their program is provided with clothing, food, hygiene items, school supplies, and other educational tools on a regular basis.”

Specifically, from this Monday to Friday, a portion of all profits is going to these kids, and as it only costs $30 per month to get the job done, we’re excited to see how many we can sponsor.

So, if you like the idea and want to put your shoulder to the wheel with us, then please do spread the word about “Charity Week” (as we’re going to call it) and stock up on your favorite Legion goodies when it begins.

That’s all for this month!

Thanks again for all of your support, and if you’re half as excited for everything we have in store as I am, share this article on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, or wherever your favorite online hangout is.
