Legion Forge Ingredients (2,810 milligrams per serving)

Yohimbine (10 milligrams per serving)

Yohimbine is a naturally occurring substance found in several types of plants native to central and western Africa, including the bark of the yohimbe tree.

Studies show that yohimbine enhances fat loss by increasing metabolic rate and making “stubborn fat” deposits (usually the stomach, hip, and thigh regions) easier to lose.[9][10][11]

The details of how yohimbine speeds up the elimination of “stubborn fat” are rather technical, but the gist is it suppresses a mechanism in the fat cells of these hard-to-reduce areas that prevents them from being mobilized.[12]

In other words, yohimbine accelerates fat loss by helping your body’s natural fat-burning chemicals work more effectively.[13]

Research also shows that yohimbine can enhance exercise performance by staving off physical fatigue—a welcome bonus when you’re restricting calories for fat loss.[14]

There’s a catch with yohimbine, though: elevated insulin levels completely negate its weight-loss effects. To avoid this, you want to use yohimbine only when you’re exercising in a fasted state.[15][16]

The clinically effective dose of yohimbine is between 0.1 and 0.2 milligrams per kilogram of body weight.

Yohimbine Plant

β-Hydroxy β-Methylbutyrate (2.5 grams per serving)

β-Hydroxy β-Methylbutyrate, also known as HMB, is a substance formed when your body metabolizes the amino acid leucine, which is an amino acid that stimulates protein synthesis.[17]

HMB is often sold as a muscle-building aid, but the research used to support these claims is shaky at best.[18] That said, well-designed studies do show that HMB is an effective anti-catabolic (muscle sparing) agent.[19]

In other words, while it isn’t good at increasing muscle synthesis rates, it is good at reducing muscle breakdown rates.[20] This, in turn, can help you retain more muscle while cutting, especially if you’re also training in a fasted state (as this produces a marked increase in muscle breakdown rates).

Additionally, research shows HMB is superior to leucine in suppressing muscle loss, making it more effective to this end than branched chain amino acid (BCAAs), which rely on leucine for their muscle-sparing effects.[21][22][23]

The clinically effective dose of HMB is between 2 and 3 grams.

Synephrine From Advantra Z® (300 milligrams per serving)

Synephrine is a chemical compound found in certain types of citrus fruits, with the most common source being the bitter variety.

It’s chemically similar to ephedrine, adrenaline, and noradrenaline and thus produces similar effects in the body.

That’s why research shows that supplementation with synephrine . . .

  • Increases resting metabolic rate[24]
  • Boosts lipolysis (the breakdown of fat cells)[25]
  • Inhibits activity of fat cell receptors that prevents fat mobilization[26]

Furthermore, studies show synephrine works synergistically with caffeine to enhance both caffeine’s and its own fat loss properties.[27]

The clinically effective dose of synephrine is between 25 and 50 milligrams. Forge contains 300 milligrams of Advantra Z®, which is 10% synephrine by weight, providing 30 milligrams of synephrine.

No Artificial Food Dyes, Fillers, or Other Unnecessary Junk

Artificial food dyes aren’t a hazard per se, but studies show they can cause negative effects in some people, including gastrointestinal toxicity and behavioral disorders.[28][29][30][31][32]

No Artificial Food Dyes or Other Chemical Junk
