What has happened so far on the program?

In 2009 I started eating healthy in general but not tracking any food intake and lost about 25-30 pounds where I stayed until I found Bigger Leaner Stronger at the beginning of this year. I’ve been tracking macros and using the BLS weightlifting regiment for about 5 months and have dropped from 230 and 18% down to 194 where I currently weigh.

Using the BLS program I started noticing real progress I’d say around Aug. and then it just kept getting better and better from there! I now currently sit at 194 Pounds and around 8.5% to 9.5% BF and can finally see abs!!

I opened my eyes to what is possible. Seriously, weight loss is NOTHING BUT A NUMBERS GAME. If you count your macros, and lift heavy compounds YOU WILL LOSE THE FAT. I’ve lost about 65 pounds of fat with only about 5 pounds of that being muscle.

Ill likely continue to cut about another 5-6 pounds of fat to get down to 6-7% BF because quite honestly I’m over the moon I can see my abs since I have NEVER seen them in my life lol. Since I’ve been cutting my strength hasn’t gone up really except for the squat and DL since I wasn’t doing those before to begin with. But I’m more than confident it will go up once I start the BLS Bulk.

What, if anything, almost kept you from buying the book or starting the program?

Nothing almost stopped me from buying the book since I was like everyone else in the world, I tried ANYTHING and EVERYTHING program and supplement wise to succeed. And like everyone else it didn’t work. Plain and Simple. I thought the program looked crazy easy considering my workouts are no more than 60 minutes but before they were almost 2 hours!

People think I’m lying when I tell them they only need 9-12 heavy working sets with plenty of rest and minimal cardio to achieve their dream physique. It truly is mind blowing how well it has worked. I’ve tried everything, Super Sets, Drop Sets, Monster Sets, Pyramid Sets and everything else under the sun. I had subscriptions to over 5 fitness magazines and if it was in those books I tried it. Well, it didn’t work lol.

What did work was hitting macros and heavy lifts with plenty of rest. When it came to dieting I never counted macros until I tried a high fat diet training program where I was eat around 240 grams of protein (which is good) but close to 250 grams of fat(not good). That failed quite clearly and that was the program I finished up earlier this year right before I found BLS.

What do you like most about the program?

What I like most about the program is that is quick, simple and no BS. Mike isn’t afraid to call out the multibillion dollar supplement industry and all of its hyped up unneeded supplements that I wasted hundreds if not thousands of dollars on.

I’m able to get in the gym, get my lift in under 60 minutes, eat foods I like all while hitting my macros and it works. Plain and simple. What more could you ask for?

The results were by far faster. What I’ve been trying to do for the past 3+ years working out over 2 hours a day, I’ve done in about 5 months all while working out half as much.

How does this program compare with others you’ve tried?

This program is THE TOTAL OPPOSITE of the most commonly pushed workouts that are out there. Seriously it is. But it’s the real deal. Everyone wants to cut carbs, avoid all fat and spend 2 hours in the gym every day. Honestly I don’t.

I get to eat A LOT of carbs and a moderate amount of fats and I’m satisfied and lean. Its psychologically easier to hit heavy weight for 4-6 reps with several minutes of rest than it is to doe 10,12,15+ reps supersetted with even more reps. It truly is.

How has what you’ve achieved with your body changed other areas of your life?

Due to LOVING the way I look, I’m WAY more confident, energetic, and just damn happy now to be alive and healthy. It seems that if your able to put in the work at the gym and diet and get the physique you want then everything else in life including work is a piece of cake.

Is there anything else you’d like to add?

Honestly people, this book is cheap. Instead of dropping 10 bucks on take out or lunch, buy the book. I CANNOT preach enough how amazing it is. I’m healthy, happy, I look good and it shows. Don’t wait until New Year’s, don’t wait until your birthday. Start now, because every day you wait is 1 more day you’re not happy with yourself and everyone deserves to be happy with how they look. It is our right.

I’ve come to learn that health is EVERYTHING. Seriously, think about it. If you don’t have health you can’t do the things you love. You can’t chase your kids around the yard, you can’t play those sports you want to play, etc. EVERYTHING relies on your health. So stop sitting around and start loving yourself and your life and wake up excited to be alive every single day.
