How many months’ progress do your pictures represent? What were your stats for each picture?

36-month progress. In the first picture my weight was about 166 pounds, approximately 18-to-20% body fat (may have been more). Second picture my weight was 150 pounds and my body fat was around 12%.

What has happened so far on the program?

My first real cut was 6 months after I had been training for about 18 months where I had already lost 7 pounds and gained some lean muscle. During the 6-month cut I went from 159 pounds to 150 pounds and 16% body fat to 12% body fat.

What workout split from the book did you use?

5-day split. For cardio, I will do short 5x1K runs in the gym and 3×30 minute Watt Bike sessions a week.

What, if anything, almost kept you from buying the book or starting the program?

Nothing!

What do you like most about the program?

Following the program was pretty straightforward and easy. Results are like a roller coaster–you get some quick gains and you feel great but the real gains come later. It takes months and years, you have setbacks with injuries, aches and pains, and you plateau. But if you remain consistent, you work hard when you are at the gym, and remember the only competition is the person staring back at you in the mirror (not the dude on Instagram), you will get the results you deserve both physically and mentally.

What you eat is so much more important than I would ever have imagined! Cook your food from scratch, remove salt and sugar from your diet, and water is your best friend–it needs nothing added. And remember to enjoy the journey!

How does this program compare with others you’ve tried?

So I have not really tried any other programs. I have reviewed and looked at several but knowing what I do and understanding how Bigger Leaner Stronger works have educated me to understand what I need to do.

How has what you’ve achieved with your body changed other areas of your life?

I’m way more confident, I feel mentally 100 times better than I did, and I am now happy with the way I look. Naturally having more energy just means I am more productive and enjoy life, and being able to take your top off as soon as the sun is out! 🙂

Who would you recommend this program to and why?

I always do recommend this program. It’s easy to follow, it makes perfect sense, and the science adds up–why wouldn’t you do it?!

Is there anything else you’d like to add?

I didn’t start training seriously until I was 50. You are never too old to begin and don’t be intimidated by going to the gym. Everyone has some insecurities they are dealing with, even the most ripped guy or girl in the gym.

If you are nervous, join with a friend or have a couple of PT sessions to get you started and remember excuses won’t get you the body you want.

Did you use any Legion supplements?

I use Forge and Phoenix. Phoenix is amazing–it just strips fat (if you are serious with your diet and training that is!).
