What has happened so far on the program?

First photo I was about 13.8% and the last one I was about 8% (my guess is not quite that low but just repeating what the bod pod thing said). Respectively my weights were 83kg down to about 75kg.

I’m about to start to bulk, so no huge strength gains yet but here’s hoping! Although funny enough, on my big lifts I lost very little strength and even continued to progress in overhead dumbbell press. Was lifting 32s for 6 reps now 38s for 5.

What, if anything, almost kept you from buying the book or starting the program?

I have tried to cut before but I lost way too much weight and with it all my hard earned muscle. I lost barely any muscle with Mike’s program. I am about to start a slow clean bulk with mikes help, here’s hoping I don’t put on fat too quickly like I did on my own last time.

The program gives me structure and guidance, which really made all the difference. I definitely have tried other programs, but in general there is just so much bro science out there that it’s hard to see through it, Mike backs up what he says with numerous pieces of legitimate scientific research, I really value that.

What do you like most about the program?

The program isn’t time consuming, and it does allow leeway with your nutrition, although sticking to it most times is going to get the best results.

How does this program compare with others you’ve tried?

The workouts were short, but this is good because I find myself easily getting into overtraining. In a cut, you can really get some bad injuries from overtraining because your body doesn’t have the food to repair itself.

How has what you’ve achieved with your body changed other areas of your life?

I have found then when you get your training and nutrition discipline intact, it makes a huge difference to other areas of your life. For one I only spend about $70 a week on food all up. My life is also easier because I only have to cook once a week.

Secondly the discipline I have learnt through my training has carried on to other areas of my life such as my studies in law and my relationships.

Is there anything else you’d like to add?

Just keep going, but learn to enjoy the journey. I don’t know if will ever reach a body type I’m 100% happy with like Mike, but for me that’s not necessarily a bad thing, I’m addicted to the lifestyle I don’t do it for the results anymore.
