What has happened so far on the program?

This question is two parts, what has happened to me and what has happened to those around me. I am stronger and hungrier to stay active, as a result became a more positive and confident person because it starts from the inside. Muscles are developing in areas I last saw in high school. I have more balance throughout my body where I don’t struggle to run or lift but yet feel more flexible. Being accustom to better food I cook for myself, I can often decipher badly prepared food through smell, taste, or their after effects. The discipline and focus after adjusting my diet and workout has impacted everything from my career to my home life. I have no problem keeping up with the energy of my 4 year old and the wife has noticed the things I can micromanage and multitasking has improved at home and at work. Family and friends are blown away with what I accomplished in less than 20 weeks!

What do you like most about the program?

This is a simple response. Back to the basics about food, what our bodies do with it, and what we yield in the gym from it. Have I read what Mike’s is reiterating before? Yes. What is different is that he makes the progression of knowledge simple to understand, it sticks to me, and removes all the sugar coated BS that the industry has been selling – including supplements and crazy sample workouts published with more reps than the mortgage bubble.

What, if anything, almost kept you from buying the book or starting the program?

I have read a few blogs, books, and many articles and thought that Mike’s BLS (Bigger Leaner Stronger) was no different. Boy, was I wrong. It started with Maximum Muscle and it changed my thinking. Curiosity always gets the best of me and I figured, what do I have to lose for less than lunch money? So I picked up his BSL e-book to continue studying in detail how basic working out really is. After finishing the book, what almost prevented me from beginning the program was the cost of food and supplements. However, reality is I spend just the same amount as before, but cut out junk from the receipt. Also, who wants to track their workout and food intake when they haven’t before? With technology these days and apps like JEFIT, CalorieCount, and Myfitnesspal – it’s a no brainer when tracking my workout and macros.

1. How to promote muscle growth with simple and short routines. 2. Timing of diet. 3. The attention we expected from those around you or the opposite sex and the feeling you’re a part of a private society.

Would you recommend this program? If so, why?

Wholeheartedly, YES because it simply works. This is a great book to build or rebuild everyone’s dieting and workout foundation. Truly, after reading BLS I can expect everyone to be a little bit more educated to read between the lines the next he/she reads an article or blog. My thoughts can sound bias; however I also encourage the same person to challenge everything written in BLS as I have. This book is not the end all of guides, but a great addition to the library. Just be sure it’s placed above the magazines and crap dieting books in case of flood, if not – you’ll be fit enough to run or swim away long before then anyway.

Yes, could I get my $7 back? Buying a whole new wardrobe sucks!
