How many months’ progress do your pictures represent? What were your stats for each picture?

Four months of progress. Twelve weeks of cutting and four weeks of maintenance. Beginning of the cut I was 129 pounds with 23% body fat. End of the cut I was down to 118 pounds and 19.5% body fat. During maintenance, I pretty much stayed the same at 119 pounds and 20% body fat.

What has happened so far on the program?

I cut for 12 weeks. I lost 11 pounds and 3-to-4% body fat. I was doing my own “random” gym work during those 12 weeks. My energy was a little bit low, so I adjusted my workouts according to how I felt that day. I did add a little bit of cardio, but nothing crazy (hiking, biking, rower machine). During my maintenance phase, I started following Thinner Leaner Stronger 4-day split. That is what I am currently following as I bulk.

What workout split from the book did you use?

Starting my maintenance phase I started using the Thinner Leaner Stronger four-day split. That is what I am currently following during my bulk phase as well.

What, if anything, almost kept you from buying the book or starting the program?

I bought the Thinner Leaner Stronger book about 1-to-2 years ago. I skimmed through it and put it aside. At that moment I was like “ugh, another book of the same thing”, never looked at it again. March 2020, the world stopped; Coronavirus hit. I found myself with extra time for myself.

So I decided to read Thinner Leaner Stronger cover to cover. I was WOKE. I couldn’t believe I have had this gem hidden in my pile of stuff not knowing the value it had. I decided to follow this to the T. That is what I did and what I’m doing. No turning back.

What do you like most about the program?

As a scientist myself I LOVE scientific references. I like how everything is supported and backed up by research. Also, it is an easy/detailed read. I also like the little summaries at the end of each chapter, sometimes you need a refresher on a specific topic and those are timesavers.

The program is easy to follow and very detailed. The results were what I was expecting. As a thin person, I knew my progress was going to be slow. I was just exploring and seeing how my body reacted.

How does this program compare with others you’ve tried?

I don’t like to jump from program to program; I like to stay in one program for as long as it takes and see results. The program I followed for almost three years was a very good one, BUT . . .

1.) It never told me how to track progress in terms of when to start or finish a cut, when to go into maintenance, and when to start or finish a bulk.

2.) The workouts were LONG, and even though there was a weightlifting component, it still felt like cardio exercises. Thinner Leaner Stronger is straight to the point: cut, maintain, or bulk; I know now when to move from one or the other.

Thinner Leaner Stronger 4-day split is so simple, yet so GOOD. No jumping all over the place; target and work the muscle. That’s it.

How has what you’ve achieved with your body changed other areas of your life?

I feel accomplished in a sense. I have always worked on my body, but have rarely seen the results I want. Now, I feel that I am on the right track. I feel guided and confident enough to say that this time around I will get the results I want. No matter how long it takes.

Who would you recommend this program to and why?

Every single time someone asks me about what I do in the gym and what is my nutrition like, I always tell them “BUY Thinner Leaner Stronger, follow it to the T. That is my slogan. LOL!

Is there anything else you’d like to add?

Read the book, don’t pick and choose the thing that you like. Change your mindset. Follow everything, and trust the process.

Did you use any Legion supplements?

Yes. I use Recharge for post workouts.
