How many months’ progress do your pictures represent? What were your stats for each picture?

This has been a 9-month journey – and counting. I started at 187 lbs and approximately 24% body fat. At the six month mark, I weighed 196 lbs and approximately 16% body fat. I then started a cut and got to 187 lbs and 14% fat.

As of May 2, 2020, I was 186 lbs and approximately 12% body fat. Since I was new to Bigger Leaner Stronger, I was able to take advantage of recomposition and not have to lose a lot of weight before building.

What has happened so far on the program?

I was new to Bigger Leaner Stronger, so I was able to do a recomposition for the first six months or so. Lots of protein, good carbs, and mild calorie surplus. My weight after nine months is almost exactly where I started (1 lb or less), but fat is down 12% and muscle way up.

My bench started out with 1RM at 190 lbs, and now I am doing three sets of 6 at 253 lbs and still adding small amounts per week. Deadlift and military presses have increased similar percentages.

What workout split from the book did you use?

I started with a 3-day split and went to 5 days once the #$%^&*# COVID quarantine started. I guess there is some upside to all this:)

What, if anything, almost kept you from buying the book or starting the program?

I did not realize how awful I looked until I saw photos. Vanity took over, and I got to work.

What do you like most about the program?

It is simple, science-based, fun, and results are extraordinary. Anyone can do it – instructions are easy to follow. Forget all the BS and bro-science out there – this is a very simple plan that just plain works. Much better results than I expected. The gains are self – motivating / self-perpetual.

A slight downside to Bigger Leaner Stronger: I wear suits to work and had to buy a new tailored wardrobe due to my increase in muscle. No more off-the-rack as my proportions are atypical of most men.

How does this program compare with others you’ve tried?

I have dieted without weight lifting and have lost weight but was still “skinny-fat“. No shape, strength.

How has what you’ve achieved with your body changed other areas of your life?

I’m more confident and look forward to training days in the garage – even though I am in Chandler, Arizona, and it is now summer!

Who would you recommend this program to and why?

Anyone and almost any age! There is also a Thinner Leaner Stronger for Women.

Is there anything else you’d like to add?

This is simple – not easy. You have to do the work, but the results are worth it, and once you start seeing them, it is all the motivation you need to keep progressing. It is the healthiest addiction I know of.

Did you use any Legion supplements?

Whey+ and Pulse. I will not workout without Pulse – Fruit Punch is my favorite. No secret blends, false promises- just science/research-proven ingredients that work.
