What has happened so far on the program?

I would say all the progress took roughly around 18 months but could have been less if I followed your program from the beginning. Let me explain: I have been struggling with fat loss for as long as I can remember but before your work came under my radar a friend of mine landed me the “shocking” news that calories are all that matter when talking weight loss. I took his advice and finally was seeing some changes. This was a new way of thinking for me – at least it made me realize that all the mags, etc. were feeding me bullsh!t so I threw Men’s Health away for good. Now I decided to include pictures from that period since a big part of your advice on fat loss is actually about counting calories (even though I was not technically on your program yet. Next came a quite long period of plateau – basically at this point all I was doing was counting calories and doing cardio (LISS). Although I lost a good amount of fat I was still unhappy as I wanted to loose more and look better overall, so I started hitting the gym but obviously was not training correctly– on top of that I started to feel like sh!t after training. Sometimes feeling sick, etc. so I started searching for a possible cause and that is where I found about macros which then led me to muscleforlife.com. I devoured the articles and ordered BLS (and TSC later on) and that is where the big change started to happen, not only visually but I was feeling way better because I was not eating enough proteins and overall variety before and also had IBS which virtually vanished once I started to eat balanced macros. This started I guess around Nov/Dec 2013 and as you can see although I lost the fat I barely had any muscle – I think I was around 12-14% bf here – not so sure.

What, if anything, almost kept you from buying the book or starting the program?

Actually I was convinced once I read the articles and realized (through my previous experiment with calories) that you were selling no BS, so I was ready to educate myself more.

What do you like most about the program?

It is not biased but instead backed up by science.

What are three other benefits of the program?

1) It’s integration with science led me to look at other things (unrelated to fitness) from a scientific point of view too.
2) Kept money where it should be instead of wasting it on supplements.
3) The results of just feeling good, and not only visually. It is starting to effect me positively in other areas in my life too because seeing that you can actually change something gives you confidence.

Would you recommend this program? If so, why?

F*cking right I would 🙂 Why? Apart from the reasons listed above simply because it WORKS and is not so hard to follow. No billion things to remember, and considering the results it is quite an enjoyable process and one MAJOR important why is the fact that you do interact with us pretty much on a daily basis. I don’t think I have met anyone (in any field) that replies to every single comment, email, etc. – that makes a BIG difference.
