"Confidence is obviously a big plus, if you feel good, you look good."
How many months’ progress do your pictures represent? What were your stats for each picture?
I started the program weighing 226 lbs and 27% body fat.
What has happened so far on the program?
My main goal was to lose fat, so I started the cutting program and planned on following it as well as possible for a whole year. The goal was to try and get my fat percentage between 12% and 15%, but honestly having no idea what that would mean to my body.
Would I look too skinny? Too thin? Sick looking? So I enjoyed and celebrated every pound lost on the journey and was always mindful of what the mirror showed and how the clothes fit
What workout split from the book did you use?
I use the 5 days split. Monday to Friday. Plus 30min cardio after the workout. Resting Saturday and Sunday.
What, if anything, almost kept you from buying the book or starting the program?
I’m an actor, singer, and professional ballroom dancer, so my schedule is VERY uncertain and I travel a lot, sometimes twice a month. When I was home, it was easy to follow the program.
But during traveling, it was a bit harder to make it work. It was never discouraging, just had to work a bit harder to make it work.
What do you like most about the program?
Honestly, the science behind it. Cut the “evil marketing BS”, ” gym myths”, “Bro-knowledge”, and simply focus on pure science. I’m a nerd at heart, and also have a major in Biology, specialized in Kinesiology, so all the science explained fact by fact was very empowering for me to make certain changes that I always thought I knew, but turned out being just “Magazine tips” or the equivalent of that.
It was simple, easy to follow, easy to understand. This is science. That’s it! Give or take the particularities of each individual body, the fact that matters is, it DOES work if you follow it. So did!
How does this program compare with others you’ve tried?
This program has a scientific foundation and addresses most scenarios that a regular gym-goer would face, and how to make it work.
How has what you’ve achieved with your body changed other areas of your life?
Well, the list goes on and on, but the obscene amount of people I have asking me for advice, and what am I doing? What’s the secret? Is just very rewarding. It’s nice to have a person who NEVER talked to you before at the gym coming to you just to congratulate you on your progress.
It’s very reassuring and pushes you even further. Confidence is obviously a big plus, if you feel good, you look good, and you feel good again for knowing that you look good! It’s nice to see certain muscles showing up! Abs! Never had them. Well, they were there, just hiding!
I’m an actor, singer and professional ballroom dancer, and for this kind of profession, looks do matter, and it feels great to move better, be seen on stage and camera with more confidence. It’s incredibly rewarding, and it’s contagious, everyone around you suddenly becomes more lively and more enthusiastic when you are more lively and enthusiastic.
Most of my work can be found on my website www.ronnydutra.com, plenty of artistic before and afters. LOL!
Who would you recommend this program to and why?
Honestly, to ANYONE. I’ve already gifted some books and helped some friends with diets and exercise plans, and they all love it.
Is there anything else you’d like to add?
I’ve spent my life as an obese person, for many different reasons beyond just “eating a lot”. One day, when I was 19 years old weighing 310lbs I’ve decided it was time for a change in my life. As I said, my whole life, people would ALWAYS say “Ronny, you have to lose weight”. Family, friends, strangers… they all wanted that for me.
But it didn’t matter. I had to want it. Want it more than ANYONE else. After all, its MY life. It only works when YOU make up your mind. That day I had decided to do something, and I did. Trying every single possible diet and program, I went down to 205 lbs in over 2 years.
I was “too thin”, almost sick looking, not at all athletic and muscular as I wanted, so I’ve decided to add muscle and in the course of a couple of years I’ve tried EVERYTHING but always hit a plateau went upon weight, went down on weight, add some muscle and far, lose some muscle and fat.
I had yet to find something that worked for me. I NEVER wanted to look the way I looked before, so part of my brain was always terrified to see the scale goes up on number, and I would just shut down completely. Block me even if that meant progress, I just didn’t know.
We all have our battles to fight, and knowledge, determination and hard work are my best weapons, and the knowledge I got from the book and proper research, freed me from my old self. Knowledge is power. I’m sure I haven’t digested how much this meant to me up until now, but I`m enjoying every bit of it. And the journey continues, day after day. Always striving for a better version of myself.
Did you use any Legion supplements?
Been using Legion supplements since I started the program. And I couldn’t be happier with the results.
