What has happened so far on the program?

Everything Mike said just seemed to make sense and I decided to give the one year challenge a go. It took me a few weeks to really commit to working most body parts just once a week and to get my diet on track but once I did (with the help of the apps JEFIT PRO and MYFITNESSPAL for android) I started to see immediate change. My upper chest has filled out, my arms are shaping up nicely and my general posture and build have improved enormously. Testament to that is the number of complements I now get about my body both in and out of the gym.

What do you like most about the program?

What I love about the program is its simplicity and effectiveness. No messing about with constantly changing routines and silly, novelty exercises that make me look like an idiot in front of the serious gym guys. I feel like its giving me a really strong base and the insistence on focus and intensity while doing proven compound exercises is earning me the respect of guys much bigger than me.

What, if anything, almost kept you from buying the book or starting the program?

At the start I really wasn’t sure about buying any books to help me train. Ive tried to put on muscle many times in the past and I knew from experience that there are a thousand conflicting ideas about the best way to train and I really didn’t want to become confused and disheartened by adding yet another to the list. However, after reading the sample, I took a chance and downloaded Mikes book from Amazon (later I bought the hard copy edition)

Since starting this program: I’ve developed a much keener sense of how different exercises impact on my physique and how to use them to get the results I want; I’ve learned how to control my diet to maximum effect; And I feel like I now have control of what was a runaway metabolism. Finally, at the age of 53, I feel like a teenager again!

Would you recommend this program? If so, why?

My friends have already begun to ask me how I’m managing to change my body so quickly so really, the recommendation for this program is the evidence of their own eyes. Still, when I try to explain to them what I am doing, most of them trout out the same weak excuses about why THEY couldn’t do the same. So yes, I would and DO recommend this program. But don’t think for a minute that its in the “too good to be true” class of programs. You’ll have to work hard, be committed, intense and focused when necessary. The good news is that the results you get will the ride an enjoyable if not thrilling one. Oh! And you’ll have to buy new clothes because the old ones won’t fit!
