What has happened so far on the program?

Using the Bigger Leaner Stronger program accompanied by the Shredded Chef cookbook, I have gone from 216 pounds down to 194 in a 2 month period while gaining some muscle. I wasn’t happy with the “skinny” look I was getting so I have started the bulking program and have put on about 4 pounds of muscle in one month! I am certainly stronger and in better shape than I have ever been before. I admittedly never liked going to the gym or working out, but now it has become a passion of mine and despite some minor injury setbacks I am determined to continue to obtain my goals. Mike’s program is the only program I have been able to continue over a long period of time and that is saying a lot.

What do you like most about the program?

I like the structure to the program the most. The results just come if you follow the diet and workouts. Most importantly about the program is that I have learned that diet is actually more important than the workouts. I have always believed the opposite.

What, if anything, almost kept you from buying the book or starting the program?

If anything I was afraid that I was not going to keep up with the program. I have worked out before and have quit before.

What are three other benefits of the program?

1. Well I do look better. That has helped my self esteem, which was lacking when I was overweight and unhealthy.

2. My son is noticing and starting to follow in my footsteps. He now wants to make healthier decisions when it comes to his diet and is getting more exercise, which is a main reason I started this program. He is 8 years old and overweight and I am helping him change that.

3. I am all around healthier than I have EVER been. I can do things now that I wasn’t able to do or didn’t feel like doing. For a little while I starting running, an activity I have always hated. I got to a point where I could run nonstop for 5 miles! Unfortunately a knee injury stopped my running career but I am turning to cycling which is also quite fulfilling. I have the energy to spend more time with my friends instead of sitting on the couch or sleeping. When I want to take a nap I go to the gym instead and usually do cardio. It has been a life changing program.

Would you recommend this program? If so, why?

I have recommended this program to others and will continue to do so. Why? Because this program follows science and logic and I am getting results like I never have before.

Thank you to Mike who continues to support my progress and helps me out when I need it. He is not just a great author but a terrific human being and a role model. He is not afraid to say what he feels, but also respects the opinions of others. That is a rare trait and I admire him for his efforts and wish him all the success in the future because he truly deserves it!
