How many months’ progress do your pictures represent? What were your stats for each picture?

I started Bigger Leaner Stronger in September 2016. However, the pictures represent progress from December 2016 to June 2017.

Weight: 238 lbs to 181 lbs.

Waist: 42″+ to 32″.

Body fat: 24% to 7-8%.

What has happened so far on the program?

I competed and placed second in a physique competition for men over 50 and also took fifth place in the men’s open novice division.

To prepare for it, I started a serious cut 12 weeks out from my contest–total weight lost was close to 60 pounds! My strength increases were massive, too.

My bench increased from 185 lbs to 285 lbs.

All of my lifts increased weight-wise: military press, deadlifts, and squats–every exercise.

What workout split from the book did you use?

I used and still use the 5-day split. I also record my weights in Mike’s Year One Challenge manual–I’m old school.

What, if anything, almost kept you from buying the book or starting the program?

I have tried almost everything out there, but this program just made sense. It wasn’t just a program–it was a lifestyle and nutritional change for good, not for “just a program’s length.”

What do you like most about the program?

The book Bigger Leaner Stronger has everything you need to succeed. I also love the weight workout splits and suggested HIIT cardio recommendations, because I hate cardio!

How does this program compare with others you’ve tried?

There is no comparison to this program. This is a one-stop shop–you have the workouts, nutrition plans, and supplements all right there to help–not to mention the support from Mike Matthews and his staff is truly incredible.

How has what you’ve achieved with your body changed other areas of your life?

It’s completely changed my life for the better in every way possible.

I would recommend it to everyone!

Is there anything else you’d like to add?

Everything in life has a reason or a purpose. I was searching for a workout plan on the internet to get bigger and came across Mike Matthews’ book and that’s when my life changed.

My excuses and untrained mind (conditioned to give up easily) prevented me from obtaining my goals. I used my shoulder surgery, my drinking problem, and the lack of wanting to change my lifestyle as excuses. Then, I stumbled upon MuscleForLife and Bigger Leaner Stronger.

This program sounded like someone had finally figured it all out and they have results backed by science to prove it. I am a former Marine, Gulf War Veteran, husband, father to three beautiful children, and my best friend’s name was “beer.”

I had tried Mike’s program on two different occasions, each attempt lasted four months. I looked great, but then my addiction beat me–again–another relapse.

Sick and tired of my daily life and allowing something to control me, I had to change my ways, my thinking, and most importantly my mind. Otherwise, I would end up like my father–dying way too young from abusing alcohol–he was 46.

Finally, I started using the knowledge Mike has in many of his published books to overcome anything that was in my way–cravings, urges, and how to control those cravings and urges. I haven’t looked back since September of 2016 and now I am unstoppable.

Also remember, this is NOT a quick fix, Hollywood diet, or weight loss program. This is the beginning of a lifestyle change for the rest of your life to live and be healthier. I guarantee you that Bigger Leaner Stronger is better than any other so called “workout program.”
