What has happened so far on the program?

Since I started the program I dropped 21 lbs. I went from 195 lbs. to 174 lbs. and reduced my body fat percentage from approx. 16% to approx. 8%. I keep making physical progress, strength gains, and continually feel like I’m in the best shape of my life. My strength has also skyrocketed since I started.

My Dumbbell Bench Press went from 85 lbs to 100 lbs for 6 reps. Squat went from 185 lbs to 255 lbs for 8 reps. Deadlift went from 245 lbs to 320 lbs for 5 reps. Military Dumbbell Press went from 70 lbs to 85 lbs for 5 reps.

What, if anything, almost kept you from buying the book or starting the program?

Nothing! I came across the book on Amazon back in November 2013. I figured the program would have been a great new year’s resolution come January.

Once I saw all the success stories and started reading, not only could I not put the book down but there was no way I was waiting until January. I started immediately and have never looked back….Muscle For Life!

What do you like most about the program?

I love the focus on progressive overload and the lower rep ranges. It really boils down to your muscles needing a reason to grow. Without progressively overloading them week after week you are bound to plateau and get poor results. This style of lifting has undoubtedly given me the quickest results from any other fitness program/weightlifting routine.

I was amazed as to how fast my results came in and how quickly my strength increased, it really kept me engaged and motivated from the start. Motivation that no supplement out there can provide! It makes getting out of bed easy…although the workouts are by no means a walk in the park.

How does this program compare with others you’ve tried?

The results I achieved doing this program far surpass the results I got doing any of the programs seen on those popular home workout DVDs. The book really opened my eyes to the importance of nutrition as well, which wasn’t stressed enough in the prior programs I had tried.

How has what you’ve achieved with your body changed other areas of your life?

The benefits I’ve gotten from this program have definitely overlapped into other areas of my life as there are many parallels that can be drawn from weightlifting and bodybuilding. I feel that I can accomplish and attain any goal I set my mind to.

Is there anything else you’d like to add?

Don’t have second thoughts on this program. Just go for it. I also wouldn’t worry too much about losing hard earned muscle on this program. As you can see in my pictures, I haven’t lost any muscle. In fact I probably gained a little muscle even though I was on a cut.

My last advice, and what I would stress the most, is to make this a lifestyle change. Don’t go out there and sign-up for the best gym in your city if it’s 45 min. away from your house. Don’t make your workout sessions at 7 pm if you know 3 days out of the week you’re going to have random last minute commitments.

I train at 7 am in my office building before work. Why? Because it’s conveniently located and I know nothing is ever going to get in the way of my 7 am workout. When setting up your diet/workout regime, make sure it’s something you can follow at least 80% of the time. Consistency is the key to attaining those results you’ve been after.
