"I got stronger way faster than I thought I could and I have way more energy now!"

Progress Image 4 Months

How many months’ progress do your pictures represent? What were your stats for each picture?

They represent about four months.

I started at 225 lb and over 20% body fat and cut down to 205 lb and a body fat percentage of about 8-10%

What has happened so far on the program?

I cut my weight down incredibly fast. Within a week or two I started seeing great progress with both weight loss and strength gain!

I played sports in high school and during those four years I hardly became any stronger. The workout programs my coaches gave me didn’t work too well. I’m telling you, though, I doubled how much I was lifting back then in only 6 months on Bigger Leaner Stronger.

What workout split from the book did you use?

I’m used 5-day split from the book.

What, if anything, almost kept you from buying the book or starting the program?

With all of the bull crap out there, I assumed this was another one of those “magical” programs that promised crazy results with no research done on the topic.

As a biology major, I’m very familiar with research and how to choose reliable resources, so it was refreshing to see all the claims in the book backed up by research.

In Bigger Leaner Stronger, Mike even admitted that with some of the techniques it wasn’t known which way was better, which showed me he wasn’t trying to persuade me. He was just trying to inform. The whole program just made sense to me after several years of biology classes in college.

What do you like most about the program?

I loved hitting my goals sooner than I expected. I got stronger way faster than I thought I could! It was fun to make strength and muscle gains so quickly.

How does this program compare with others you’ve tried?

I’ve never tried another program that was described in a book. But like I said earlier, my coaches in high school didn’t seem to know lick about proper programming or working out. They didn’t even know what correct form was for certain exercises. I never saw real progress in high school.

How has what you’ve achieved with your body changed other areas of your life?

Well, I was good looking enough to get married to a girl I would have thought was out of my league previously, haha. Seriously though, I feel like I have more energy during the day and I’m obviously more capable of doing everyday things better.

I honestly believe this program helped me in school, too. My brain seemed to work more efficiently and I came to find out later that exercising actually does increase brain performance!

Who would you recommend this program to and why?

I’ve already recommended it to my wife, brother, and dad because I know it works! They saw my transformation as it happened so they wanted to give the program a try, too.

Is there anything else you’d like to add?

The diet is definitely the hardest part. I had to start out eating bland food and uncomplicated recipes just to make sure I was doing things right. However, I slowly found things that were delicious and healthy.

I found it better to just dive in head first rather than stagnate because of not really knowing what to do. I figured it out along the way and it wasn’t too bad.

The gym is also intimidating, especially when your workout is so different from what everyone else is doing. But I learned to ignore the uncomfortable feelings–especially after seeing good progress quickly.

Did you use any Legion supplements?

Yes! I used WHEY+, PULSE, and TRITON. Whey+ is is seriously the best tasting protein I’ve ever had and Pulse performed so much better in comparison to C4.
