Legion Vitamin D+K Ingredients (330 micrograms per serving)
Vitamin D3 (50 micrograms/2,000 IU per serving)
Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) is a substance that plays a critical role in the synthesis of many hormones and enzymes that support physical and mental health, performance, and well-being, including testosterone, estrogen, calcitriol, and others.
Research shows that supplementation with vitamin D3 . . .
Supports insulin secretion and reduces the risk of insulin resistance[16][17]
The recommended daily allowance (RDA) for vitamin D3 for adults is between 15 and 20 mcg (600 and 800 IU), but research shows that this often isn’t enough to prevent deficiencies or insufficiencies, even in people who eat a healthy diet.[18]
On the contrary, studies show that 50 mcg (2,000 IU) per day is required to safely prevent vitamin D3 deficiencies and insufficiencies in nearly everyone.[19]
Vitamin D+K contains 50 mcg (2,000 IU) of vitamin D3.
Vitamins K1 and K2 (280 micrograms per serving)
Vitamins K1 and K2 are substances required for hundreds of key bodily processes, including bone metabolism, blood clotting, blood vessel health, and more.
For example, vitamins K1 and K2 are needed to activate and utilize a protein called osteocalcin, which helps maintain healthy bones, and another called prothrombin, which improves blood clotting and wound healing.[20][21]
Vitamins K1 and K2 also activate a group of proteins in the body called Matrix Gla, which reduce calcium buildup in blood vessels and thereby can support circulation and heart health.[22]
Despite the vital importance of these vitamins, however, it can be difficult to get enough to maintain health through diet alone because . . .
Foods high in vitamin K1 tend to be low in vitamin K2 and vice versa.
Plant sources of both vitamins are often poorly absorbed.[23]
Thus, many health-conscious people who eat a nutritious diet also choose to supplement with vitamins K1 and K2, and with the MK-7 form of vitamin K2 in particular (rather than MK-4 or MK-9) because it’s the most scientifically validated form for enhancing vitamin K2 status.[24][25][26]
Research shows that supplementation with vitamins K1 and K2 . . .
The recommended daily allowance (RDA) for vitamin K is 120 mcg per day for men and women (and currently, it doesn’t specify how this should break down into K1 and K2), but studies show that this amount is likely suboptimal for maximizing health and performance.[39][40][41][42]
For example, research showing improvements in bone mineral density and cardiovascular health from vitamin K2 supplementation has typically used doses of 180 mcg per day.[43] What’s more, other studies have found that consuming 300-to-500 mcg of vitamin K1 per day was associated with improved cognitive health and insulin sensitivity.[44]
Vitamin D+K contains 280 mcg of vitamin K, with 100 mcg of vitamin K1 (as phytonadione) and 180 mcg of vitamin K2 (as MK-7).
No Artificial Food Dyes, Fillers, or Other Unnecessary Junk
Artificial food dyes and fillers may not be as dangerous as some people claim, but studies show they can cause negative effects in some people, including gastrointestinal toxicity and behavioral disorders.[45][46][47][48][49]
That’s why we use natural coloring derived from fruits and other foods as well as naturally derived ingredients for enhancing shelf life and facilitating the manufacturing process.

What makes Vitamin D+K different from other vitamin D or vitamin K supplements on the market?
The first key difference between Vitamin D+K and other vitamin D or vitamin K supplements is the dosage of ingredients. Vitamin D+K contains 2,000 IU (50 mcg) of vitamin D3, 100 mcg of vitamin K1, and 180 mcg of vitamin K2, which is significantly more than you’ll find in most similar supplements.
The second key difference is the type of vitamin K2 we include in Vitamin D+K. While many supplements contain vitamin K1, most don’t include vitamin K2, and if they do it’s often not the menaquinone 7 (MK-7) form, which is the most scientifically validated form for enhancing vitamin K2 status.
Can I take Vitamin D+K with other Legion supplements?
Yes.
We’ve formulated Vitamin D+K to work in conjunction with other Legion supplements like Triumph, which also contains vitamins D and K.
The primary difference is that Triumph contains a relatively small dose of vitamin D, K1, and K2. The reason for this is that some people get significantly more vitamin D and K than others based on their diet, sun exposure, and other variables, making additional supplementation unnecessary.
If you don’t get plenty of vitamin D3, K1, and K2 from sun exposure and diet, though, then it’s beneficial to get more through supplementation.
A supplement I take already contains vitamin D and K. Can I benefit from Vitamin D+K?
It depends.
If you get regular sun exposure and eat plenty of foods that are high in vitamin D, K1, and K2, you may not need to supplement with vitamin D+K, especially if you’re already taking Triumph or another multivitamin that contains these nutrients.
That said, most people don’t get much vitamin D or K from their diet (especially vitamin K2), and it’s impossible to know how much vitamin D your body is producing naturally from sun exposure without a blood test, which most people don’t want to do. Given that it’s very difficult to take too much vitamin D, most people opt to supplement to make sure they don’t develop an insufficiency. In other words, you’re more likely to run into problems from not getting enough vitamin D than you are from getting too much.
Whether or not you should take Vitamin D+K if you’re taking another multivitamin depends on how much of these nutrients the multivitamin contains, but most have only a small dose of each (If any). A good rule of thumb is that you want to get at least 2,000 IU of vitamin D, 100 mcg of vitamin K1, and 180 mcg of vitamin K2 per day. If you’re able to reach these numbers through diet and your current multivitamin, then you don’t need to take Vitamin D+K, but if not, supplementation can help.
As noted above, it’s very unlikely that you’ll take too much vitamin D or K, so many people prefer to take Vitamin D+K as an “insurance policy” against insufficiency.
How much vitamin D and K should I take per day? How much is too much?
It depends, primarily on how much vitamin D and K you get from your diet and how much vitamin D your body produces naturally, which is influenced by a number of variables including sun exposure, skin pigmentation, age, and more.
That said, most people don’t eat many of the foods that are highest in vitamin K (especially vitamin K2), and vitamin D insufficiency can occur even in people who follow healthy diets and get regular sun exposure.
It’s also very difficult to take enough vitamin D and K to harm your health. While the upper limit for vitamin D is set at 4,000 IU per day (twice what you’d find in Vitamin D+K), studies show people can take up to 10,000 IU per day without negative effects.[1][2] Vitamin K is similar—there’s currently no established upper limit, and it’s basically impossible to get too much from a combination of food and a moderate dose like you’ll find in Vitamin D+K.
The most common things we hear from customers are noticeable improvements in energy and mood, but it’s important to remember that many of the benefits of vitamin D and K supplementation aren’t things you’ll feel, but are still extremely beneficial for your health: Stronger, denser bones, healthier, more pliable arteries, and a more robust immune system.
While you may not feel any of these changes in the short term, you’ll reap the benefits in terms of a lower risk of fracture and heart disease as well as fewer respiratory tract infections over time.
What it boils down to is this:
When you assist some of the most important physiological mechanisms in the body by ensuring it has the raw ingredients to perform at its best, just about everything runs better.
What does the Prop65 warning on the labels mean?
Our products include a Proposition 65 warning in compliance with California’s regulatory guidelines, which are among the most stringent and sweeping in the world.
A Proposition 65 warning does not indicate whether a product is safe or unsafe. Rather, Proposition 65 is a consumer notification law in California that requires warnings to inform consumers about the presence of one or more of over 900 substances in various types of products. These substances include naturally occurring and ubiquitous compounds, even when present at levels below those known to cause harm.
Can Vitamin D+K be taken while pregnant or breastfeeding?
We’re not aware of any reasons it would be harmful, but it’s always best to play it safe and check with your doctor first.
Can Vitamin D+K be taken with medication?
There are very few negative interactions between vitamins D and K and medications, but there are some, and thus you should always talk to your doctor if you’re currently taking medication and want to consider taking Vitamin D+K.
Is Vitamin D+K gluten-free? Soy-free? Dairy-free?
Yes.
Is Vitamin D+K vegetarian or vegan friendly?
No, because the vitamin D is derived from lanolin, which is an animal product.
Vitamin D+K doesn’t just “contain natural ingredients''—every ingredient is naturally sourced from plants and animals. Vitamin D+K contains no artificial or synthetic substances of any kind.↑

Because shipping a single item is surprisingly expensive.
So blasted expensive, in fact, that on a small order, the shipping cost alone can eat up all of the profits.
However, the economics change dramatically when you bundle, because adding a second or third item to your order costs us very little extra to ship.
And once your order hits the $99 mark (a few items), the math works out, and we can cover the entire shipping cost for you.
Why the $199 minimum purchase amount for free shipping?
To quench our piggish lust for grubby profits in the eternal service of the dread lord Mammon?
Kind of. But not really. Because here's the truth:
Single-item orders are so blasted expensive to ship that we make very little profit on them. And no profits make the bean counters lose their marbles.
But when you order just one more item, it only costs us a few dollars more to ship both of them to you. Add a third item, and it's just a few more shekels to ship.
And that allows us to make a profit. Which keeps the bean counters happier than a hammer in a nail factory.
So, if it pleases your Grace, we humbly request your mercy and patronage notwithstanding the vexing free shipping minimum.

Manufactures final products in America (which has some of the strictest regulations in the world)
Which is exactly what we do here at Legion.

That’s why we use natural sweeteners like stevia, erythritol, and monk fruit instead as well as natural coloring and flavoring derived from fruits and other foods.
Research shows that these ingredients are not only safe but can also confer several health benefits, including better nutrient absorption, healthy cholesterol and inflammation levels, and more.
The proprietary blend is little more than a sneaky way to use tiny (ineffective) amounts of lots of ingredients and hope customers don’t know any better.
Every dose listed. For every ingredient. In every product. Anything else is unacceptable.
