Progress Image 14 Months

How many months’ progress do your pictures represent? What were your stats for each picture?

They represent 17 months.

In the before picture I was 168 pounds and roughly 35% body fat.

In the after picture I was around 144 pounds and 25-26% body fat.

What has happened so far on the program?

I started out weightlifting in November 2015–no diet changes other than eating less junk. I got The Shredded Chef and Thinner Leaner Stronger and started tracking calories during March of 2016.

I then transitioned to macro counting and started an official “cut” in May of 2016. I ended up losing about 25 pounds and 10% body fat!

When I first started out I couldn’t even squat the empty bar itself. It’s been a slow process–I’ve been trying to make sure I have perfect form! I’m now squatting below parallel with a little weight on the bar.

I just started a bulk to really work on getting stronger, but even during my cut my strength slowly increased on all my main lifts.

What workout split from the book did you use?

Mostly the 4-day split, but sometimes 3 or 5 if it worked with my schedule. I love the flexibility!

What, if anything, almost kept you from buying the book or starting the program?

Nothing stopped me. I liked The Shredded Chef  a lot so I decided to pick up Thinner Leaner Stronger. The book echoed things my husband said in regards to weightlifting (he used to be a physical therapist), so I knew it was legit.

I had tried all kinds of video cardio programs and went paleo at one point, but nothing worked as well as Thinner Leaner Stronger .

What do you like most about the program?

It’s so easy to follow. There’s no crazy gimmicks. You just track what you eat and you lift heavy. You can have a cheat day (I prefer to call them refeed days, though) and still see results.

You don’t have to beat yourself up over eating a few cookies–most of the time you’re tracking your food so you know you’re going to see results as long as you stay consistent.

Weightlifting is more fun and more rewarding now and doesn’t make me hate life the way that hours of cardio did.

How does this program compare with others you’ve tried?

It’s the best. I never stuck with any workout program or diet more than a few months. I’ve now been doing this program for over a year.

I like how I look in the mirror and I love how I feel now. I’m completely in control of my diet without having to follow any insane rules about what to eat or what not to eat.

How has what you’ve achieved with your body changed other areas of your life?

My energy and confidence have both soared. In my “before” picture I didn’t want to be seen in any pictures with my children–now I don’t have that fear.

Before, I didn’t want to be in a swimsuit, which is a crazy notion considering I live in Hawaii. Now I rock a bikini and I actually feel good in it.

I still have a long way to go but I’ve come so far already that it’s boosted my confidence even more than I ever thought it would.

Who would you recommend this program to and why?

I’d recommend it to everyone. It changed my life!

Is there anything else you’d like to add?

YOU. CAN. DO. THIS.

Did you use any Legion supplements?

I used WHEY+ and PHOENIX!
